Tomato Palms donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of aluminum cans to our local community homeless shelters.

How it Works

  • The recycling bins are provided as a part of the service.
  • We handle all aspects of the recycling process including sorting. You and your staff simply drop the materials in the bin. We will handle all the details.
  • On your scheduled service day the Tomato Palms staff will service each bin and pick up the recyclable material directly from the bins.
  • We haul the materials to the proper Material Recovery Facility*.
  • You will receive an end of the month report which provides the total weight of the materials you have recycled.
  • Your numbers will be entered into DHEC's RE-TRAC system. This report will be sent to you quarterly providing details on the impact your recycling efforts have made on the environment.

*A Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is a site where cities, counties and businesses drop off their recyclable materials. The materials are then sorted, bailed and sold to companies who will use it to make new products.
